Because of the huge success of the Nokia N95, popular for its all-in-one functionality, Nokia has launched the Nokia N95 8GB. This is because the Nokia N95 lacks 3G capabilities. The design of this latest Nokia add-on is exquisite. Changed from its original grey color, the phone is now a classic black, plus the display is 2.8″, an expanded version from the original 2.6″ of the Nokia N95. The display also boasts increased sharpness and contrast, far better than the original one.

Another interesting feature found in the Nokia N95 8GB review is its multimedia keys. When you open the phone slide downwards, you can achieve a better tactile feedback. Its backlight has been changed too, from the original blue to white. The numeric keypads, located on the right hand side of the phone, are also backlit in white. Looking at the phone from the left-hand side, one can really say it is a striking replica of the original Nokia N95. Both the phone’s lower and upper part have not undergone any change at all, and the arrangement of the connectors and the keys are the same.

The positioning of the camera of the Nokia N95 8GB has not changed either. The only distinctive difference is the position of the lens. The original Nokia N95 has its flash on the right side of the lens, while this newer version has its flash under the lens. The newer version also does not have a lens cover because Nokia has already replaced its former 940 mAh battery with a newer and thicker 1200 mAh. This Nokia phone uses the Symbian 9.2 OS c S60 3rd edition feature pack, the very same version used in the original version. One variation here though is the possibility to change the view of the icons on its main menu, plus the opportunity to set it in an animated mode. Like the original version, this upgraded Nokia phone is considered a four-band phone that can work in the 850, 900, 1800, or 1900 MHz networks. As with the camera, although both Nokia N95 versions are quite different in some aspects, the quality of the camera is still the same. Images are similar to the original one, with the same colors and photo details. The pictures are unsaturated, grayish, and with an affinity to yellow and purple, which make it stronger than any phones ever manufactured. Both the detail and the noise amount of the two versions of the phone are almost identical. When it comes to taking pictures in darker areas, the results are still the same.

The Nokia N95 8GB also comes with its own built-in N-Gage games platform. This means that you can conveniently play these games without buying the Nokia N-gage model. The platform already has much to offer. The graphics are better compared to those original mobile games normally seen. You can also turn it to 3D mode, with better music background and a larger number of computer games producers.

All in all, the Nokia N95 8GB is one of a kind. Being an upgraded version of the successful Nokia N95, you can expect to find the best in this world-class phone.

If there is one mobile phone manufacturer which has the ability to design one model after another – that is none other than Nokia. From the seemingly ancient Nokia 3210 model, the company has released almost a hundred models now. For a consumer, their system of naming phone models is quite confusing since there are so many to choose from.

However, there is a way for you to narrow down your search. For example, if you are looking for a particular form factor, you can choose from Nokia’s line of:
- Classic mobile phones
- Candybar mobile phones
- Slide mobile phones
- Twist mobile phones
- Mobile phones will full QWERTY keyboard

Nokia 6600: Set to be Released on Q3 2008

One of the best ways to keep up with the latest phones that Nokia has to offer is to check out their soon-to-be-released mobile phone models.

The Nokia 6600 is set to be released in the market by the third quarter of 2008. This slide mobile phone is the successor of the Nokia 6500 slide.

Nokia 6600 Slide Features Set

The Nokia 6600 slide has the following features:
- 240×320 pixel coloured LCD screen
- 18 MB internal memory
- Bluetooth/USB connectivity
- FM radio
- MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA media player
- 3.2-megapixel camera with double flash

Nokia 6600 Slide Review

Although the phone has yet to be released in the market, online reviewers are already raving about the form factor of the Nokia 6600 slide mobile phone. If you are looking for a stylish handset which fits right into your pocket, this is exactly the phone that you are looking for.

So what makes the Nokia 6600 slide worthy of a second glance when compared with the other slide phones available in the market today? First, there is the really attractive casing, display screen and slide opening system. As compared to the other Nokia fold phones, the Nokia 6600 slide mobile phone is made from a classy, high-gloss black material.

The keypad can be easily accessed when you open the slide mobile phone. It has a blue lighting effect for ease of use. The screen also has excellent quality, with high resolution.

The Nokia 6600 Slide is a Good Camera Phone

Just like the most recent Nokia phone models, the Nokia 6600 slide mobile phone doubles as a nifty digital camera. It has a 3.2-Megapixel camera with autofocus. You can play with a few special effects and there is also the standard video recording feature.

More importantly, the compact case packs 3G video calling – so fans of this technology will not be disappointed.

One downside to this phone, however, is the direction pad. It is quire unreliable and a bit awkward to use. Also, the charging connection is just run-of-the-mill.

To sum it all up – if you’re a fan of the brand and you like to have a lot of features power-packed in such a small, handy and sleek-looking phone, then the Nokia 6600 slide is definitely the mobile phone for you.

Mobile phone manufacturer giant Nokia first released the Nokia 5310 in December of 2007. With the dozens of models included in the line of Nokia mobile phones, how does the Nokia 5310 stack up? How does it compare against similar mobile phones in the market.

A Quick Look at Design of the Nokia 5310 Mobile Phone

When purchasing any brand of mobile phone, there are several factors that you need to take into consideration before buying. Naturally, you need to check out the design. Is the material made of cheap plastic, metal or some other material? The Nokia 5310 mobile phone has a great design.

It belongs to the category of ultra-slim phones, which only measures 9.9 millimeters in thickness. The Nokia 5310 has a great solid black colour, with your choice of blue, red, purple of black trim to break the monotony. It has a great, solid feel when you hold it in your hand, despite the fact that it is quite a slim phone.

The material of the exterior casing is predominantly plastic, but it is solid enough with an easy-to-press keypad.

How About the Features?

Another good thing about the Nokia 5310 is that with its ultra-slim frame, the features included in the phone are never compromised.

The Nokia 5310 has the following features:
- 16M color QVGA display with dedicated music keys
- Built-in, 2 Megapixel camera with video capabilities
- 30 MB internal memory
- microSD memory card of up to 4GB
- Bluetooth connectivity
- Stereo FM radio
- MP3/MP4/AAC/eAAc/WMA music player
- 3.5 mm AV jack

For all the music lovers out there, you will definitely love the freedom brought about by the audio jack – which allows you to listen to music using standard earphones. It also has A2DP Bluetooth stereo to wirelessly connect the phone to compatible headsets and stereo speakers.

The Downside of the Nokia 5310 Mobile Phone

The only downside that we see to the Nokia 5310 is that the camera is mediocre – but if you are looking for a music phone, this is not really a big deal. There’s also no 3G networking capability.

How does the Nokia 5310 Stack Up Against Other “Music Phones”?

When the Nokia 5310 was first launched in the market, it was pitted against Samsung Tunez. The other mobile phone models which are dubbed as music phones include:
- LG Muziq
- LG VX8550 Chocolate
- Sony Ericsson W580i

When you take into consideration the features, the form factor and the music played, the Nokia 5310 can be declared as the overall winner – as compared to these other brands of music phones.

Music Mobile Phone versus Digital Music Player

If you do not yet have a mobile phone or if you already have one but you would like to upgrade, you can definitely consider getting the Nokia 5310 over purchasing a digital music player.

Just check out the Nokia 5310 reviews online. From these feedbacks on the Internet, you would see that the mobile phone is a great, slim music-player-con-mobile-phone.

All in all, if carrying you want your mobile phone to store your music library too, the Nokia 5310 is exactly what you are looking for.

Nokia has always been the renowned makers of the technically strong and performance oriented mobile phones. The brand that people have always loved for delivering the maximum satisfaction is known for never letting down its customers and with Nokia 1208 they have just done that. Though today Nokia as a brand is a reckoning force in the entire mobile phone fraternity but it has never taken its position of a market leaders for granted. Which is what makes it different from others.

People never give them the credit they are due for, yet they only opt for the handset of Nokia when they go to purchase a mobile phones. The question may arise ‘why ‘? But that has always been the USP of Nokia, every time when people or the customers write them off, they come up with a ground-breaking range of handsets. Like they did when they launched the N and E series mobile phones. This quality along with a superb battery feature has always been Nokia’s strength and this is what makes them stand apart from the others in the market.

Another reason that can be cited for the successful run of Nokia Mobiles in the market is that they read and understand the customers needs and demands very well, which allows them to hold an edge over the others market brands. Also due to their this unique quality they always manufacture handsets that are affordable and are extremely advanced in every way.

Going back to the Nokia 1208, then this widget happens to be the most incredible one from Nokia. Affordable price and amazing features are the two main USP of this mobile device. As it comes at a surprisingly low price hence, people from all sections of society can afford to purchase this reasonably priced mobile phone.

Talking of looks then when a person first comes across Nokia 1208, he finds it a reasonably good blend of simplicity and style. But this is what is different about this mobile phone from Nokia, that despite having decent looks, it never compromises on the performance criteria. Even the shape of this mobile phone makes it a better one to remember. The vital stats of 102 x 44.1 x 17.5 mm just confirms that. Even the weight of 77 grams perfectly complement the slim and trim shape of this widget.

Not only that the display screen of this widget is also another highlight of it. The CSTN display screen which has got a reasonably large size of 1.5 inches. In addition to that it can also support around 65000 colours. The big display screen allows the users to enjoy a great viewing experience. The mobile device from Nokia can also send and receive text messages.

The list does not end here as Nokia 1208 also boasts of a tremendous memory section. Yes, it has got a user memory of 4 mega bytes which is enough to make sure that the users get the abundant memory to store huge amount of data. Since it has got the abundant memory space, therefore it allows the users to store as many as 200 different phone numbers. The mobile device from Nokia can also keep the call records of last 20 received, missed and dialled calls. Not only that in case when there is no electricity failure, Nokia 1208’s flashlight feature comes handy. The battery which has always been the highlighting feature of Nokia, this time too does not disappoint its users even this time too. The standby time of Nokia 1208 battery is around 365 hours.

Roomy and robust, Nokia N95 8GB is a gadget lover’s delight. The manufacturer made real endeavours to bring it as close to perfection as possible by incorporating features way above in excellence as any other mobile phone of its kind.

The connoisseurs of the gadget world will definitely agree that Nokia is another name for perfection. The brand was one of the very first mobile phone tycoons and took no time to make a follow up of its admirers with its unbeatable performance, unique features and remarkable endurance. Questions on the quality of its deliverance never arose and till now there are people who can trust Nokia even with closed eyes. Nokia never compromises with any aspect of its phones and has maintained its standards till date.

The N-series of this brand is another flagship in this arena. The craze of a high-end all-in-one mobile phone is initiated by this series. Each new invention of this series has fresh and improved novelties that accounts for the consistently increasing supporters of this brand. The N-series exemplifies sophistication and class. When the launch of the N-Series was announced it became quite obvious that yet another Nokia giant is about to rule the market. It was when the first mobile of the series actually came into the mobile phone battle, people realised that it is not just another Nokia phone, but a spectacular piece of invention that deserves to be applauded heartily. The nokia n95 8gb is one among that over-the-top series of high-end mobile phones.

From its out-of-the-world looks to its extraordinary features, every aspect of this phone testifies that Nokia N95 8GB is not made to stand among the ordinary phones in the market. It stands out in the crowd as it is bulging with way-out features of the highest degree reached till date. For instance, the storage memory of this mobile phone is hard to find anywhere else. With a fathomless memory of 8 GB, the user can take along a whole vast world of his favourite tracks, videos and pictures. The memory never gets exhausted.

The Nokia N95 8GB gives a range of features to share, exchange and download data and cram this 8 GB internal memory with your never ending desires. The Bluetooth v2.0 lets you make merry with your friends by sharing your best pictures and videos.

The awe-inspiring features of this phone don’t end at the vast memory. This phone has a calibre of a mini PC as it comes with 128 MB SDRAM with Dual ARM 11 332 MHz CPU. This gives the phone the gauge to give an unsurpassed performance. It also supports 3D Graphics and comes with a HW Accelerator.

You will find internet connectivity like never-before in the Nokia N95 with GPRS and EDGE of the highest grade (Class 32) till date. The class 32 GPRS is known to be the supreme version till now. That means you no longer have to wait endlessly for getting access to internet. The class 32 EDGE makes the connectivity and browsing swift and reliable. You can browse the web quickly with no data loss. With the nokia n95, the traumatic moments of indefinite wait to get connected to the Internet are gone. This third generation phone has HSDPA to curb out the remaining bits of connectivity delays.

Though every feature of this Nokia legend is truly amazing, yet the camera of this phone steals the show. It has a 5 MP camera giving a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. A range of add-ons makes the camera the best feature of this phone- like autofocus, view through Carl-Zeiss optics, video at 30fps and a secondary video call camera. With the TV-out port you can view your videos on your television.

The Nokia N95 8GB is full of high-class features making it extremely desirable, still it does not compromise on the battery power. The standard Li-Ion 1200mAH (BL-6F) of N95 gives an awesome back-up with nearly 6 hours talk-time and 280 hours standby time.

With launch of the Nokia N95 8 GB, Nokia has secured its position in the hearts of the gizmo-geeks for years to come.

Today, there are separate electronic device which suits one particular purpose only – and performs it to its maximum potential. For example, if you are looking for a music player, there are a lot of media players which can offer you a wide range of audio features and excellent audio quality.

Another example is if you are looking for a digital camera – there are ultra-expensive models which come with every feature that you can ever imagine.

But what if you are looking for an all-in-one device which plays music, takes great pictures and serves as a mobile phone as well? Fortunately, the smartphones of today have rolled all of these features into one nifty electronic device.

No longer to users need to be torn between owning a really good music phone which has an average camera – or a really good camera phone which plays average quality music.

Thanks to the advancements in technology and the dozens of mobile phone manufacturing companies competing to sell the best units in the market – these two features have been successfully combined in smartphones.

Nokia N96 Review: How Does it Measure Up Against the Nokia N95?

The Nokia N96 has yet to be released to the general consuming public but it has already gotten rave editorial reviews. This is included in Nokia’s N series, which is the line of smartphones released by the world’s number one mobile phone manufacturer.

The unofficial release of the Nokia N96 mobile phone is by the first week of October, 2008. So what does the initial Nokia N96 review say about the features of the phone?

First, take a look at the long list of features included in the Nokia N96 mobile phone:

- Two-way Slide
- Mobile TV, network dependent
- 5-Megapixel camera, with Carl Zeiss optics
- VGA camera for video calling and self-portrait
- Double LED flash
- Access to Ovi
- High-quality 3G video calling
- 16 GB of internal flash memory
- Expandable memory
- 3G and WLAN access
- GPS navigation feature
- Instant uploading of photos to Flickr, Yahoo, Google and Vox
- Full HTML browser
- Built-in motion sensor

So what are the major differences between the Nokia N96 and its predecessor which is the N95? The most interesting feature which is integrated in the Nokia N96 is the Mobile TV functionality.

As compared to the single-LED camera flash in the Nokia N95, the Nokia N96 has a dual-LED camera flash. Internet radio is pre-installed in the Nokia N96.

Based from the initial editorial reviews, there is also that built-in motion sensor which automatically rotates the screen when it is tilted. The Nokia N82 has a similar functionality.

The best thing that you can enjoy about the Nokia N96 is that there is no need for you to buy a separate digital camera – because this mobile phone has it all. GPS, Nokia maps, the multimedia player, the photos application – all these and more are what makes the Nokia N96 a different version of the Nokia N95.

If photo applications, a mobile TV and great features overall is what you are looking for – then the Nokia N96 is definitely for you.

The most talked about mobile phone of 2008 is now being launched by the UK networks, the Nokia N96 was first released on O2 just days ago before being joined by an Orange network release, shortly after the N96 was made available as a SIM Free handset and now a third UK network has taken this top of the range Nokia phone.

Consumers can now connect the Nokia N96 to the full range of Vodafone pay monthly tariffs which means that the number of packages available for this handset has now expanded making it far easier to match the correct tariff to a users requirements.

Vodafone have made the N96 available on both their 12 and 18 month tariffs with line rentals ranging from just £15 per month through to £80 per month for their high user packages, this is not to be the last UK network launch fro the Nokia N96 as there are still two more operators to pick up this amazing new phone.

Overview:

The Nokia N96 is designed for mobile entertainment with a 2.8” screen and built-in 3D stereo speakers. With a 5.0 megapixel camera and Carl Zeiss optics, the N96 takes outstanding pictures. The Nokia N96 has a 3.5G internet connection for super-fast mobile downloads.

Review:

Stunning to look at, feature packed and Mensa smart, the Nokia N96 is a multimedia mobile with a high-quality video and music player, 5.0 megapixel camera and 16GB memory.

Watching videos and listening to music on the Nokia N96 is fantastic. The picture on the supersize 2.8” screen is bright and clear, and the sound from the built-in 3D stereo speakers is superb. There’s even a clever little kickstand on the back of the N96 so you can sit back and enjoy the show.

With a massive 16GB internal memory, the Nokia N96 can store a mountain of music, videos, pictures and maps. And if 16GB isn’t enough, you can increase this to 24GB using the N96’s memory card slot.

When you use the Nokia N96 to take photos, the picture quality is in a different league – thanks to its 5.0 megapixel camera and Carl Zeiss optics. The Nokia N96 also has a geotagging feature that lets you record where you’ve taken a shot so you can share the details with friends online.

With its super-fast 3.5G connection to the internet, the Nokia N96 is great for downloads. It also comes with Nokia Maps, plus the option to upgrade to a GPS navigation system that directs you on foot and in the car.

The Nokia N96 has already been made available from Free on some of the higher line rental tariffs from all the networks that have now released the phone, however over the next few weeks the price of the handset will drop making the N96 free on some of the lower pay monthly tariffs.

Gone are the days when travelers carried crumpled, cumbersome maps that they consult if they want to get from one destination to another. Whether or not you have a good sense of direction, it makes perfect sense to utilize today’s electronic devices which has GPS systems included as one of its features.

You can take your pick from dedicated GPS devices or other electronic gadgets with GPS functionality.

Naturally, one of the best ways to have it all – music player, camera, GPS and the traditional calling and text messaging functions – can all be found in the mobile phones of today.

Over the years, mobile phone manufacturers have been managing to keep up with the latest that mobile technology has to offer. Fortunately for all the travelers out there, Nokia has a line of mobile phones which also include the GPS functionality.

If an all-in-one GPS mobile phone is what you are looking for, check out the Nokia 6210 Navigator.

Nokia 6210 Navigator Review: Nokia 6210 versus its Predecessor, Nokia 6110

The predecessor of the Nokia 6210 Navigator is the Nokia 6110 Navigator. This unit has a 2.2 inch QVGA screen, 35 MB internal memory, 2-Megapixel camera, QCIF for video calling, HSDPA and the A-GPS functionality.

The Nokia 6110 Navigator was first released in the market in June of 2007.

Naturally, when you compare the Nokia 6110 Navigator with the Nokia 6210 Navigator – there are upgrades which were made when it comes to the design and functionality.

First off, the camera of the Nokia 6210 Navigator is much better. It is a 3-Megapixel autofocus camera with flash. There is also a secondary camera for video calling.

If you cannot bear to stay disconnected from the rest of the world, there is the Bluetooth with A2Dp and USB connectivity.

Another unique feature of the Nokia 6210 Navigator is the accelerometer for screen auto rotation, alarm snoozing and call silencing.

All the music lovers out there will not be disappointed because the Nokia 6210 Navigator has a stereo FM with RDS and it plays the following audio formats: MP3, WAV, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, MP4, M4A, RealAudio 7,8,10 and WMA.’

The Nokia 6110 Navigator has a built in memory of 120 MB, and it is expandable with a microSD or microSDHC memory slot.

This smartphone operates under the S50 over Symbian operating system, with the Symbian 9.3, S60 3rd Edition, feature pack 2.

It also includes all the other basic mobile phone features that Nokia has been offering to its loyal clients since time immemorial.

A Final Word about the Nokia 6110 Navigator Mobile Phone

Just as it is with any other type of mobile phone, the Nokia 6110 Navigator does have a few drawbacks. Considering the fact that it is a GPS phone, you would think that the screen would be bigger – but it is quite small for a navigation phone.

But when you combine the great camera, good music playing functionality, GPS and 3G capability – the Nokia 6110 Navigator is still a cut above the rest when you compare it with similar GPS-enabled phones in the market.

If you feel that the recent spate of high-end phones in the market is quite confusing – why don’t you try going back to basics? Instead of deciding whether you want to have a good camera phone or a good music phone – try to check out the low-end and middle range phones in the market.

Sometimes, all you need is a phone which has the most basic mobile phone features, right? A great design, a simple-to-use interface and probably a decent built-in camera are all the features that you need from a middle-range phone.

As a result, there is no need for you to confuse yourself with highly technical mobile phone technology lingo – and just look for the features and mobile phone deals that would give you the best value for your money.

That is exactly what you will have from the Nokia 6300 mobile phone.

Nokia 6300 Mobile Phone Specifications

Before delving deeper into the pros and cons of buying the Nokia 6300, here is a comprehensive list of the features included in this mobile phone:

- Candy bar phone with a 2-inch, 240×320 pixel TFT display screen
- Bluetooth and USB connectivity
- EDGE class 10
- 2-Megapixel camera
- Video capture
- Nokia S40 operating system
- MP3 player
- FM stereo radio
- 7.8 MB built-in memory
- micro SD/TransFlash card, up to 2GB memory
- 348 hours standby time
- 3.5 hours talk time

Nokia 6300 Review at a Glance

The Nokia 6300 was first released in the market during the first quarter of 2007. As mentioned earlier, there was a spate of high-end phones released in the market prior to this. And it was not just by Nokia, the world’s largest mobile phone manufacturer.

Even other mobile phone companies released their latest high-end mobile phones in the market. Thus, it was such a breath of fresh air when the Nokia 6300 was released.

The Nokia 6300 is a middle range phone with excellent functionality as a mobile phone. All the other extras are just a bonus. First up, the design of the Nokia 6300 is sleek and classy.

When you hold the Nokia 6300 at the palm of your hand, it is not likely to slip so you will have a solid, firm grip on the phone. The user interface is just what the Nokia loyalists have come to love for all their other models.

The keypad is easy to use and perfectly functional. For the occasional snapshots, you can take decent photos because there is a built-in 2-Megapixel camera.

Aside from the FM stereo radio, the Nokia 6300 MP3, MP4, AAC, AAC+ and eAAC+ media files. There is a convenient 2.5 mm audio jack for connecting the headset.

Finally, the operating software used for the Nokia 6300 is Nokia S40. In a nutshell, the only disadvantage of purchasing the Nokia 6300 is probably the screen which easily marks – and the fact that it does not have 3G connectivity.

Other than that, the Nokia 6300 is as perfect a middle range phone as you can get.
